Manufacturing Solutions Engineer

About the Role

As a Manufacturing Solutions Engineer, you will be at the forefront of developing innovative manufacturing solutions for our clients. Your expertise in machining processes, automation, and system integration will drive the creation of cost-effective and efficient solutions. You will collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure seamless integration of customer requirements and technical feasibility.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate customer requirements and technical specifications to design optimal manufacturing solutions.
• Develop conceptual process flows, system layouts, and equipment selections, leveraging your knowledge of CNC automation solutions.
• Prepare detailed technical sales quotations, including cost analysis and pricing inputs, ensuring alignment with profitability targets.
• Collaborate with suppliers to validate feasibility, confirm lead times, and obtain cost details for proposed solutions.
• Support customer presentations and technical discussions, communicating complex concepts clearly and effectively.
• Identify and mitigate risks, feasibility concerns, and optimization opportunities in proposed manufacturing solutions.
• Contribute to the development of technical documentation, proposal packages, and customer‑facing materials.
• Stay abreast of emerging technologies, supplier capabilities, and competitive trends to enhance solution development.

Qualifications

Required Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, manufacturing engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience).
• Proficiency in interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of machining processes, including turning, grinding, gear hobbing, and laser processing.

Preferred Skills

• 2+ years of experience in technical sales, applications engineering, or machinery/system integration.
• Experience with CNC automation solutions and robotics.
• Familiarity with ECM/PECM processes.
• Experience with data analysis and manipulation
