About the role

Key responsibilities:

• Select and manage suppliers from the approved vendor pool based on price, quality, delivery performance, and reliability after vendor development by the Sourcer.
• Collaborate closely with the Sourcer by providing feedback on supplier performance and issues to support strategic vendor development and sourcing planning.
• Maintain sourcing plans, run MRP processes, issue purchase orders, manage open purchase orders, and ensure the timely delivery of materials.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with internal stakeholders to avoid the excess and reduce aging stock.
• Track and evaluate supplier delivery and quality performance to ensure compliance with company standards.
• Resolve supplier-related issues, including invoices, payments, RMA, delivery delays, and quantity or quality discrepancies.
• Collaborate with departments such as production, finance, logistics, and quality.

Minimum Qualifications

Education

• High school diploma or GED required
• Associate or bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business, or related field preferred (but not required)

Experience

• 1–3 years of experience in sourcing, recruiting, or talent acquisition
• Experience supporting manufacturing, industrial, or skilled trades hiring preferred
• Familiarity with sourcing for roles such as production workers, machinists, maintenance technicians, or supply chain personnel

Core Skills & Competencies

• Basic understanding of sourcing techniques (job boards, resume databases, referrals, social media)
• Experience using an Applicant Tracking System (ATS) or recruiting software (e.g., Workday, Taleo, or iCIMS)
• Ability to screen resumes and identify qualified candidates for manufacturing roles
• Strong communication skills (phone, email, and messaging outreach)
• Ability to manage multiple requisitions and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Basic knowledge of manufacturing terminology and job functions

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Experience using job boards such as Indeed, LinkedIn Recruiter, or similar platforms

Other Requirements

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to maintain candidate confidentiality and professionalism
• Willingness to support high-volume hiring when needed
