What You Will Do

Manufacturing/Industrial Engineering Manager will be responsible for supporting Engineering requirements within Operations. You'll lead a team of product & process engineers/technicians that support all aspects of production of existing designs, as well as implementing and integrating novel materials and approaches for manufacturing of Anti‑scatter grids, Ceramic cores supporting turbine airfoil and component production. TOMO Direct Metal applications.

  • This position at Mikro Systems (subsidiary of Pratt & Whitney) in Charlottesville, VA. The work associated with this position will be onsite.
  • Develops and improves products and facilitates manufacturing operations.
  • Identifying and implementing new manufacturing processes and associated equipment.
  • Supplying resources for addressing real time problem resolution on the shop floor.
  • Monitoring product yield and cost and driving improvements to both.
  • Supporting MRL progression of all products.
  • Supporting LRIP and transition from design and development phases into production phase.
  • Reviewing designs, drawings, and working plans to improve products and facilitate manufacturing operations.
  • Provides technical leadership and assists in training less experienced engineers to help them diagnose and solve problems and build capabilities.
  • Implementing process certification methodologies into all processes.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, or related degree with 8 years of engineering or other relevant experience
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Experience in a manufacturing engineering role.
  • Ceramic and metal powder experience in the production of product. Ideal applicant has experience with epoxies and molding/injection molding experience.
  • Familiar with Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) tools

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.

Salary Range

The salary range for this role is 107,500 USD - 204,500 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
