Our major financial client is seeking a Marketing Automation Campaign Lead. This role supports the design, execution, and optimization of highly personalized customer journeys using Adobe marketing platforms. The consultant will own end-to-end campaign execution across multiple digital channels, working closely with marketing and data partners to deliver scalable, data-driven experiences while ensuring performance, reliability, and compliance.

The Basics

  • Duration: 12-month freelance assignment
  • Hours: Full-time availability; consultant must be on call between 8:00am and 5:00pm EST
  • Location: Hybrid, Considering candidates in Evansville IN, Baltimore MD, Wilmington DE, Charlotte NC and Irving TX

Top 3 Required Qualifications

  • Strong hands-on experience designing and orchestrating customer journeys in Adobe Journey Optimizer, including event-triggered workflows, audience segmentation, and multi-channel delivery
  • Advanced working knowledge of Adobe Campaign v8, including workflow development, data ingestion, enrichment, targeting logic, and automated delivery processes
  • Proven ability to build dynamic and personalized campaign content using AMPscript, JavaScript, and HTML/CSS

Other Qualifications

  • Experience integrating marketing platforms with enterprise data sources
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with marketing, analytics, and data engineering teams
  • Understanding of real-time customer profiles, schema configuration, and event-driven activation
  • Experience monitoring campaign health, troubleshooting failures, and optimizing performance
  • Knowledge of governance, privacy, and deliverability best practices in regulated environments

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and optimize customer journeys in Adobe Journey Optimizer across email, SMS, and push channels
  • Develop and maintain Adobe Campaign v8 workflows, including data ingestion, enrichment, targeting, and delivery automation
  • Create scalable, reusable dynamic content and personalization components for campaigns
  • Partner with data and marketing teams to integrate data sources, configure schemas, and define events for accurate real-time activation
  • Monitor campaign performance, troubleshoot workflow and delivery issues, and optimize throughput while ensuring compliance and best practices

In this position, you may have access to client or customer systems, confidential and/or proprietary information or data, including financial information. This position is onsite and requires you to work closely with other individuals in a collaborative team environment.
