About the role
Who We Are
We're a small, tight-knit team that helps micro- and small-businesses show up online and grow — the kind of clients that bigger agencies ignore or overcharge. We manage a family of websites and serve as real strategic partners to business owners who depend on us. We move fast, wear a lot of hats, and take genuine pride in the impact we make for clients who couldn't afford to get this kind of help anywhere else.
The Opportunity
This isn't a siloed marketing job where you post content and call it a day. You'll manage real client accounts, drive growth for our own websites, and be a trusted face of our brand all at once. We'll train the right person on our tools and systems. What we can't teach is drive, accountability, and the desire to build something. If you want a career path, not just a paycheck, and you're excited by the idea of making a real difference for small business owners, this role was designed for you.
What You’ll Do:
Digital Marketing & SEO
- Manage digital marketing accounts for small-to-mid-size clients, with a focus on on-page SEO optimization
- Track and monitor client growth using SEMrush; provide regular performance reporting and strategic recommendations
- Set up and optimize Google Business Profiles
- Plan, launch, and monitor Google Ads campaigns; analyze performance and adjust for results
- Contribute to marketing our own family of websites
Client Success & Sales
- Serve as a primary point of contact for clients — professional, responsive, and proactive
- Assist with new client onboarding and quoting
- Provide ongoing customer care and help resolve issues as they arise
- Identify opportunities to add value for existing clients
- Attend forward-facing events, such as mixers, chamber functions, and conferences
Operations & Documentation
- Create and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) on our internal staff site
- Document processes clearly so workflows can be replicated and delegated
- Fill in for team members when they are out, as we all do on this team
Who You Are:
- You take ownership, following through without being chased
- You can talk to clients confidently, professionally, and warmly both in person and on the phone
- You thrive on variety; slow, repetitive days are not for you
- You want to grow in skill, in responsibility, and in pay
Experience in digital marketing or SEO is a plus, not a must. Google Ads, Google Business Profile, or SEMrush familiarity is a bonus. A degree is welcome; demonstrated initiative and relevant certs are equally valued.
Education:
A bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business, or a related field is preferred but not required. Relevant certifications (Google Ads, Google Analytics/GA4, SEMrush Academy) and demonstrated initiative are equally valued. If you’ve been building your skills through coursework, certifications, or hands-on projects, we want to hear about it.
