Summary
The Marketing Director reports to the Chief Marketing Officer, North America Specialty Foods, and is based in Cherry Hill, New Jersey (hybrid). This role is responsible for brand strategy, marketing, annual business planning, brand management, and new product development.
Primary Responsibilities
Brand Strategy
- Devise consumer‑led brand strategies aligned with broader North American portfolio and company objectives
- Build and articulate strong brand positioning grounded in core equities and consumer insights
- Identify growth opportunities through evolving consumer needs, segmentation, and market trends
Marketing & Annual Business Planning
- Set clear marketing and business objectives aligned with company goals
- Support development of marketing talent and tools, fostering innovation and continuous improvement
- Contribute to marketing leadership initiatives, driving alignment and execution
- Develop integrated marketing campaigns across digital, social, and in‑store channels
- Manage external agencies and identify new capabilities within the market
Brand Management / Business Acumen
- Integrate product, packaging, pricing, profitability, and competitive dynamics into planning
- Manage budgets effectively with a focus on ROI
- Leverage data and analytics to drive insights and decision‑making
- Partner with sales, category management, and insights teams to support business needs
New Product Development / Project Management
- Lead new product development initiatives from concept through commercialization
- Champion innovation across both line extensions and new product opportunities
- Drive cross‑functional collaboration across teams
- Lead consumer research to validate and optimise product concepts
People Management & Leadership
- Manage and develop 1–3 direct reports
- Act as a mentor and leader within the marketing function
- Support broader team development and performance
Supervisory Responsibilities
- Recruit, train, and develop team members
- Set expectations, monitor performance, and provide coaching
- Establish strategic goals and evaluate outcomes
Education & Experience
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Business/Marketing + MBA
- 8+ years of brand management experience within CPG (Food/Beverage strongly preferred)
- Strong leadership capability with an ownership mindset
- Proven ability to drive results and execute initiatives
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Highly organized with strong time management and multitasking ability
Preferred
- Food & beverage industry experience
- Experience in manufacturing or production environments
- Strong coaching, influencing, and strategic thinking skills
