Head of Marketing

Our client in George is seeking a strategic and experienced Head of Marketing to lead and elevate their national brand presence across a growing multi-location and franchise network.

This is a senior leadership role focused on marketing strategy, brand consistency, and team leadership rather than day-to-day execution. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving marketing direction, managing internal and external resources, and ensuring alignment between brand, operations, and growth objectives.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Develop and implement national marketing and brand strategy
• Lead annual and seasonal campaign planning and execution oversight
• Ensure consistent brand identity across all locations and platforms
• Manage and develop internal marketing team members
• Oversee external partners including agencies and freelancers
• Support franchisees with marketing toolkits, campaigns, and launch readiness
• Plan and deliver national campaigns and promotional initiatives
• Oversee digital marketing performance, analytics, and reporting
• Drive customer engagement through loyalty and retention strategies
• Identify PR, partnership, and brand growth opportunities
• Manage marketing budgets and track ROI
• Provide regular reporting and insights to senior leadership
• Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, product, and sales teams

Requirements

• Minimum 5+ years’ experience in marketing, preferably in Retail / Hospitality & Franchise or multi-location environments
• Proven experience in developing and executing marketing strategies
• Strong leadership and team management capability
• Experience managing external agencies and service providers
• Solid understanding of digital marketing and performance metrics
• Strong understanding of the South African consumer market
• Bilingual (Afrikaans and English) preferred
