About the role
Introduction
Our client is a well-esblished and reputable Skincare & Beauty Studio in Durbanville (Cape Town).
They are seeking a Marketing & Office Co-oridinator to join their team not nesicarilly from the industry, but has general office & staff management experience.
Their beauty salon is a character-filled, with three treatment rooms and their own natural, vegan-friendly skincare range. With a long-standing and loyal customer base, they specialise in non-invasive beauty treatments, such as micro-current and LED light therapy, as an alternative to treatments like Botox, fillers and threading.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and professional administrative support to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of their Beauty Studio and skincare sales. You will also have the opportunity to grow the business via social media etc.
Duties & Responsibilities
Client Service & Front Desk Operations
- Welcome clients to the beauty salon and provide friendly, efficient and courteous service at all times
- Answer the telephone and monitor email, website and social media queries
- Make and confirm bookings using salon software (Salon Bridge)
- Ensure the salon software database is updated and maintained with correct client information at all times
- Accept payments (cash, card and SnapScan) and conduct a daily cash-up
- Strong retail skills to reach monthly sales targets of Mélan Skincare products
Salon Environment & Team Support
- Manage cleanliness of the salon
- Maintain and manage supplies for the salon, including treatment rooms, kitchen, bathroom and front desk
- Manage weekly and monthly rosters of beauty therapists
- Manage 3 therapists
Stock, Orders & Supplier Management
- Receive deliveries and order products from suppliers
- Prepare, package and send online customer and stockist orders via courier
Desired Experience & Qualification
- Matric qualification with a tertiary diploma in business administration or marketing
- 3 years’ experience in marketing, business and office administration
- 1 - 3 years experience in a supervising capacity
- Excellent computer proficiency, including working with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel & PowerPoint), Sage Pastel, and responding to online queries on Gmail, Facebook Messenger and WhatsApp
- Reliable, trustworthy, punctual and willing to go the extra mile for clients & colleagues
- Excellent people skills and customer service. Must be professional and presentable at all times
- Excellent attention to detail, financial accuracy, ability to multitask, stay calm under pressure and to problem solve
- Ideally live within the area and have own transport
