Wetility is a fast-growing energy solutions company helping South African homes and businesses take control of their power. We operate in a high-growth, high-complexity environment where marketing directly drives lead generation, pipeline, and revenue. We are also in an active phase of brand expansion, including a major brand relaunch, website redesign, and the integration of a recently acquired competitor brand.
The role:
The Head of Marketing runs a full-function team across performance marketing, content, design, and campaign delivery, supported by three external agencies. As the business grows, so does the operational complexity of keeping everything moving.
We are hiring a Marketing Operations Manager to sit at the center of this machine. This person will own the data, reporting, agency coordination, and workflow management that keeps the marketing function running with precision, freeing the Head of Marketing to focus on strategy, brand, and growth.
This is not a junior role. We need someone who is analytically sharp, highly organized, commercially aware, and comfortable operating across multiple work streams simultaneously.
- Team - 2 designers, 1 marketing coordinator, 1 campaign manager
- Agencies - 3 performance marketing agencies (Google, Meta, TikTok + new acquisition brand)
- Reports to - Head of Marketing
- Location - Johannesburg (hybrid)

Key responsibilities:
Performance reporting & data
- Own and update the daily lead and SQL tracker, pulling data, maintaining accuracy, and distributing to the team each morning
- Compile the weekly marketing performance report for the executive team, including commentary and insights
- Prepare monthly ROI and CAC data for the finance team and support the Head of Marketing in presenting to the CFO
- Build and maintain reporting dashboards across channels (Google, Meta, TikTok) to surface trends and anomalies proactively
Budget & financial operations
- Own the monthly budget reconciliation process, tracking actual spend against plan across all channels and agencies
- Provide variance commentary and flag overspend or underspend risks to the Head of Marketing in advance of deadlines
- Maintain spend tracking for the acquired competitor brand as it comes under the marketing umbrella
Agency management & coordination
- Prepare briefs, agendas, and performance summaries ahead of daily agency performance meetings
- Attend agency meetings with the Head of Marketing and own follow-up action tracking
- Serve as the primary day-to-day point of contact for the third agency (acquired brand), tracking spend, content output, and performance
- Ensure all agency deliverables are received on time and meet agreed specifications before escalating for approval
Content operations & approvals
- Conduct first-pass reviews of all content assets before they reach the Head of Marketing, checking for brand alignment, brief compliance, and quality
- Manage the weekly content approval workflow, coordinating between internal designers, the marketing coordinator, and external agencies
- Support monthly content brainstorms with research, competitive insights, and performance data to inform planning
- Maintain the content calendar and ensure all planned content ships on schedule
Campaign & project operations
- Own campaign go-live checklists in coordination with the campaign manager, ensuring all assets, tracking, and approvals are in place before launch
- Support GTM planning for new product launches, project managing timelines, coordinating inputs, and building out documentation
- Assist with coordination of the website redesign and brand relaunch project, managing meeting notes, feedback consolidation, and timeline tracking with the creative agency
- Maintain a centralised view of all active projects, priorities, and deadlines across the marketing function
What we're looking for
Must have
- 4–6 years of experience in a marketing operations, performance marketing, or growth marketing role
- Strong data literacy, comfortable working with campaign data across Google Ads, Meta Ads Manager, and TikTok for Business
- Proven experience building and owning marketing reports and dashboards
- Experience coordinating with or managing external agencies
- Excellent project management skills: you run a clean inbox, a tight tracker, and never drop a ball
- Advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills; familiarity with CRM or lead tracking systems
- Strong written communication: you write clear briefs, sharp commentary, and structured reports
Nice to have
- Experience with content review or QA processes
- Exposure to budget reconciliation or marketing finance workflows
- Familiarity with brand or creative production pipelines
- Experience supporting GTM or product launch campaigns
- Knowledge of the South African media and digital landscape
