About the Role

We're looking for an analytical and dynamic Marketing Performance Manager to enhance marketing initiatives for our newly acquired optometry practices. This position is ideal for a data-driven marketer who enjoys taking ownership of business outcomes and crafting innovative solutions to ensure the success of new locations. As the Marketing Performance Manager, you will be pivotal in driving marketing effectiveness for newly acquired optometry offices. Reporting to the Vice President of Marketing, you'll utilize your analytical skills and business insights to learn about each practice's unique traits, optimize patient data, and devise customized marketing strategies that boost patient engagement and volume. You'll collaborate cross-functionally with IT, operations, media, and field teams to provide every new practice with the solid foundation and support needed to thrive. This is a hybrid role requiring at least two onsite days per week at our Vienna, VA or Raleigh, NC office.

You Will

  • Gain a thorough understanding of each newly acquired practice's business characteristics, patient demographics, historical marketing approaches, and growth opportunities.
  • Collaborate with IT to assess and validate patient data conversions, ensuring the completeness of patient records (email addresses, transaction history, contact preferences, etc.).
  • Enhance our data conversion process by working with IT to enrich patient records in the Customer Data Platform (CDP), integrate transaction history to identify high-value patients, and improve data quality.
  • Establish and maintain a comprehensive performance monitoring system to track business outcomes against goals and assess CRM effectiveness- are we reaching enough patients? Are they responding? Where are the opportunities?
  • Create and refine marketing playbooks tailored to different practice profiles, determining the ideal mix of postal campaigns, digital tactics, product-focused content, and engagement strategies for each office type.
  • Identify practices requiring additional media support and effectively communicate needs and opportunities to the media team.
  • Forge strong partnerships with operational leaders and field teams to gather insights on practice performance, uncover challenges, and pinpoint opportunities for improvement.
  • Translate complex data and performance metrics into actionable insights and clear recommendations for stakeholders at all levels.

About You

  • Degree in Marketing or a related field, or equivalent combination of education, experience, & skills.
  • 5+ years of experience in marketing, marketing operations, or business analytics, ideally in a multi-location setting.
  • Exceptional quantitative skills and advanced Excel proficiency, comfortable analyzing data, building models, and deriving insights to drive decisions.
  • Strong sense of ownership, accountable for outcomes, and proactive in identifying necessary actions to drive results.
  • Curious and analytical, consistently asking “why” to understand root causes and uncover improvement opportunities.
  • Experience with Customer Data Platforms (CDPs) and CRM systems, capable of effectively collaborating with technical teams to identify key data points and translate them into successful marketing campaigns.
  • Proven success in a multi-location business setting, preferably with experience in acquisition integration, franchise operations, or performance management.
  • Experience in healthcare, retail, or service industries is highly preferred.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, able to build processes from scratch, comfortable navigating ambiguity, and energized by establishing new capabilities.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, adept at collaborating across diverse teams including IT, operations, creative, and field leadership.
  • Familiarity with marketing analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Tableau, Power BI) and marketing automation platforms is a plus.
