Role Description

This roles requires in-person physical visits to prospective client's or faculty's offices in your city. You can work from anywhere you are. This is a full-time role for a Marketing Specialist – Academic. The Marketing Specialist will be responsible for conducting market research, developing and implementing marketing strategies tailored to academic clients, and fostering relationships with universities, colleges, and training providers. The role also involves building communication channels, providing exceptional customer service, and supporting sales efforts to effectively promote CertLabz’s offerings to academic partners.

You must be located in the US, Europe, Canada or Australia/NZ.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and outreach to potential colleges, schools, and universities mostly in person, and follow up by phone, WhatsApp, and email.
  • Contact and engage academic decision-makers, including dean's and faculty offices.
  • Establish institutional partnerships and maintain active communication.
  • Drive qualified signups to certlabz.com/academic-signup.html and certlabz.com/business-signup.html.
  • Track proof-of-work for outreach and partner conversion activity.
  • Present CertLabz platform capabilities to IT departments and curriculum coordinators.
  • Develop and execute region-specific academic outreach strategies.
  • Follow up with leads and nurture relationships through the full partnership lifecycle.

Requirements

  • No experience required.
  • Good to have: 2–3 years of sales/marketing experience.
  • At least a bachelor's degree in any field is required.
  • Master's degree or PhD preferred.
  • Strong communication skills (phone, WhatsApp, email, mostly in-person outreach skills).
  • Hybrid position — some in-person work and outreach required.
  • Only applicants currently residing in the United States are eligible. US citizenship is not required.

Qualifications

  • Strong skills in Communication and Customer Service to effectively cultivate and maintain relationships with schools and academic institutions.
  • Proficiency in conducting Market Research and analyzing trends to identify academic needs and opportunities.
  • Sales skills, with the ability to present and promote solutions to prospective clients in the academic space.
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, CS, IT or a related field.
  • Familiarity with the EdTech industry and understanding of academic curricula and training models is a plus.
