About

We’re looking for a Local Marketing Specialist to help grow Imou’s visibility and engagement in the French market. You’ll manage cross-functional marketing activations, retail initiatives, and communication projects — working at the crossroads of marketing, retail, and communication.

Important: this is not a pure digital/performance marketing role. Digital marketing is used as a supporting channel within a broader marketing scope (retail, content, PR, events, field).

What you’ll do

Local marketing strategy & execution

  • Build and execute the local marketing strategy and action plan, aligned with group/regional objectives, priorities, and key commercial moments.
  • Build and manage a local marketing calendar (product launches, promotions, key moments).
  • Manage local marketing budgets, vendor invoicing, and reimbursement processes.
  • Track and report campaign and retail KPIs, and share insights with the regional team.
  • Work closely with marketing, sales, and supply chain teams to ensure smooth execution.
  • Report to the Country Manager on project progress and the performance of implemented actions.

Digital marketing (supporting role)

  • Contribute to local digital marketing activities (website updates, content publishing, basic analytics).
  • Support social media execution as part of the overall marketing plan (not the core focus of the role).

Retail & sales activation

  • Design and run channel marketing and retail activations with distributors, e-commerce, and retail partners (offline and online).
  • Coordinate POS materials, goodies, and in-store promotions with Key Accounts and identify possible local suppliers.
  • Support sales teams with marketing tools and content (brochures, product highlights, training materials).
  • Conduct regular store visits and provide field feedback and structured reporting.

PR, influence & events

  • Act as the main contact for PR agencies and media — manage press releases, interviews, and events.
  • Coordinate key moment plans with PR agency and ensure they receive product updates and important brand news.
  • Support influencer activations when relevant for key commercial moments, in coordination with our agency.
  • Organize / support trade shows, partner trainings and customer events.

Content quality

  • Ensure content quality and consistency across partner platforms (product pages, brand spaces, banners).
  • Keep Imou French website and app content up to date (content, landing pages, translation coordination, quality checks).
  • Manage content assets (product sheets, videos, brochures) shared with clients and partners, and coordinate translations across all materials.

What we’re looking for

  • Native French speaker with fluent English (spoken & written).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or Business.
  • 5+ years of experience in local or retail marketing.
  • Experience with a brand in the high-tech, smart home, or consumer electronics industry is a plus.
  • Hands-on experience with retail activation, PR, and POS activations.
  • Strong project and budget management skills.
  • Comfortable with tools like Canva/Photoshop, Google Analytics, Excel, ChatGPT.
  • Knowledge of French marketing regulations and GDPR.
  • Work from home with regular in-person meetings.
  • Strong interest in Smart Home and Tech products.
  • Highly driven by results and customer satisfaction.
  • Profiles mainly specialized in performance marketing, paid media, digital acquisition or pure social media roles are not the best fit for this position.
