Position Overview
The Marketing Specialist is responsible for developing and implementing marketing strategies, conducting market research, and analyzing trends to enhance brand awareness and drive sales. This role works closely with the Marketing Manager and cross-functional teams to adjust marketing strategies based on economic indicators, client needs and market analysis.
Responsibilities
- Assists in the planning, execution, and monitoring of marketing campaigns across various channels to promote products or services effectively.
- Assist sales team with contacting clients or prospective customers to speak about products and services.
- Assist project managers with preparing quotes, proposals, and bid packages in coordination with technical, estimating, and project teams.
- Keep informed of changes that might affect product sales or services.
- Maintain and update customer records, opportunities, and activity logs in CRM or sales tracking systems.
- Assist with creating and editing content for social media, newsletters, email campaigns, and marketing collateral.
- Works closely with company personnel to ensure prompt service to customers.
- Keeps informed on company contract procedures and product prices.
- May assist with preparing displays and attend marketing events.
- Search procurement websites.
- Assist in preparing sales tracking reports and meeting materials, and participate in sales meetings.
- Provide general administrative and project support to the marketing team as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in a marketing or related field
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively convey marketing messages and collaborate with team members.
- Familiarity with social media platforms, email marketing tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with marketing platforms or design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, HubSpot, CMS platforms) is a plus.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Positive, proactive, and eager to learn about integrated marketing and brand development.
- Strong collaboration skills and a willingness to take the initiative in supporting team goals.
- Strong analytical abilities to interpret data and make informed decisions.
Travel Requirements
This position does not require regular travel as part of its primary responsibilities. However, occasional travel may be required, up to 10%, primarily for occasional off-site meetings, training sessions, or company events. Travel, when necessary, will be communicated in advance and aligned with business needs.
Physical Demands & Work Environment
- This position primarily operates in a professional office environment, requiring the ability to work at a desk for extended periods while using a computer, phone, and standard office equipment.
- The position involves sitting for extended periods, performing data entry, and engaging in frequent communication via email, phone, and in-person interactions.
- The role involves regular communication with team members, clients, and stakeholders, both in person and through virtual platforms.
- The physical demands of the job may include occasional standing, walking, bending, and lifting of office materials up to 15 pounds.
