Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and results-driven SEO & Social Media Manager to lead our digital growth strategy across search engines and social platforms.

This is a dual-role position, combining SEO expertise with social media management, designed for someone who can both drive organic search visibility and build a strong, engaging social media presence.

The successful candidate will be responsible for increasing brand visibility, website traffic, engagement, and inbound leads, with a strong focus on the UK health and social care market (England and Wales).

Key Responsibilities:

SEO Strategy and Implementation

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive SEO strategy across Google, Bing, and Yahoo
  • Conduct keyword research aligned to health and social care providers and tendering opportunities
  • Optimise website structure, pages, and content for improved rankings and user experience
  • Implement on-page and off-page SEO strategies (metadata, internal linking, backlinks, technical SEO)
  • Identify and capitalise on content opportunities to increase organic visibility

Content and Organic Growth

  • Optimise website content, blogs, and landing pages for SEO performance
  • Identify high-value topics relevant to care providers (e.g. tenders, compliance, growth strategies)
  • Support or lead the creation of SEO-driven content that attracts and converts target clients

Local and UK-Focused SEO

  • Apply strong understanding of England and Wales geography to target location-based searches
  • Optimise for regional keywords (e.g. councils, counties, care services by area)
  • Improve visibility within key geographic markets relevant to our services

Social Media Strategy and Management

  • Develop and implement a social media strategy aligned with business growth goals
  • Manage and grow presence across:
    • LinkedIn
    • Instagram
    • Facebook
    • TikTok
    • YouTube
  • Plan and execute content calendars across all platforms

Campaign Creation and Execution

  • Create and deliver social media campaigns focused on:
    • Increasing engagement
    • Growing followers and subscribers
    • Driving traffic to the website
    • Generating inbound leads
  • Develop a mix of content formats (short-form video, reels, carousels, posts, educational content)
  • Align social media campaigns with SEO and content strategies

Brand Growth and Engagement

  • Build brand awareness and authority within the health and social care sector
  • Increase engagement through targeted, relevant, and value-driven content
  • Monitor trends and adapt strategies to maximise reach and visibility

Performance Tracking and Optimisation

  • Monitor and analyse SEO and social media performance using relevant tools
  • Track KPIs including:
    • Website traffic
    • Keyword rankings
    • Engagement rates
    • Follower growth
    • Lead generation
  • Continuously optimise strategies based on performance data

Person Specification:

Essential Requirements

  • Proven experience in both SEO and Social Media Management with measurable results
  • Strong understanding of SEO across Google, Bing, and Yahoo
  • Demonstrable experience growing a brand’s digital presence and organic traffic
  • Proven track record of scaling social media accounts (followers, engagement, reach)
  • Experience creating and executing content and campaign strategies across multiple platforms
  • Strong understanding of UK geography
  • Experience using tools such as: Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEO tools (Ahrefs, SEMrush, etc.)
  • Social media scheduling/analytics tools
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities

Portfolio Requirement

  • Must provide a portfolio or case studies demonstrating:
    • SEO results (traffic growth, ranking improvements, etc.)
    • Social media growth (engagement, followers, campaigns, content examples)

Desirable Requirements

  • Experience working within or marketing to the health and social care sector
  • Experience in B2B or professional services marketing
  • Understanding of tendering, procurement, or public sector markets
  • Basic knowledge of paid ads (not essential but beneficial)
