We are seeking a proactive and experienced Business Information Management Specialist / Martech Strategist to join a dynamic Marketing Capabilities team. In this role, you will act as a key driver within a Salesforce Center of Excellence, focusing on the discovery, development, and delivery of new marketing technology capabilities.

You will be instrumental in shaping marketing efforts by harnessing the potential of the Salesforce Marketing Cloud ecosystem. This role is ideal for a strategic thinker who thrives in complex, fast-paced environments and possesses the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions within an Agile delivery framework.

Contract Details

  • Duration: 1-year contract (May 2026 – May 2027)
  • Work Location: Hybrid (4 days onsite) in downtown Toronto (near Front St W)
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM

Responsibilities

  • Strategy & Use Case Definition: Partner with business stakeholders to define actionable use cases for Salesforce Marketing Cloud, outlining how the platform can enhance customer engagement and marketing efficiency.
  • Capability Adoption: Drive the adoption of new Martech capabilities by translating business needs into technical requirements through user stories and ensuring successful implementation.
  • Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with and influence cross-functional teams (Marketing, Tech, and Data) without direct authority to achieve alignment on initiatives.
  • Executive Storytelling: Craft compelling narratives to communicate the value of marketing technology strategies to senior leadership, illustrating their contribution to business growth.
  • Agile Delivery: Participate in Agile ceremonies, managing requirements gathering (high-level and detailed), new interaction models, and process documentation.
  • Implementation Guidance: Provide strategic insights to technology partners during solution builds and demos, ensuring business feedback is integrated effectively.
  • Training & Change Management: Partner with vendors and change management teams to develop training materials and educate marketing teams on new strategies and tactics.
  • Performance Optimization: Utilize data analysis and reporting to derive insights from campaigns and recommend strategic adjustments.

Requirements

Must-Have Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience: 5–7 years of relevant experience in marketing technology or digital transformation.
  • Platform Expertise: 5+ years of hands-on experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud or Adobe Marketing Cloud .
  • Stakeholder Management: 5+ years of experience managing complex relationships and influencing internal/external partners at all levels.
  • Project Management & Agile: 2+ years of experience in project management and working within an Agile methodology using tools like Jira and Confluence .
  • Education: Degree in Marketing, Technology, or a relevant field.
  • Soft Skills: Meticulous attention to detail and professional, concise communication skills (verbal and written).

Nice-to-Have Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience with Salesforce implementations or certifications (e.g., Salesforce Loyalty Management, Data Cloud).
  • Prior experience in a consultative role (3+ years).
  • Familiarity with other Martech tools such as Unica, Marketo, or Oracle Crowd-twist.
  • Experience supporting financial services or large, complex corporate environments.
