Your Role

Join Sparkasse KölnBonn as a Researcher in Trend Scouting and Digital Innovations at our Cologne location. We offer both part-time and full-time positions.

The financial industry is undergoing dynamic change, driven by new technologies, innovations, and evolving customer needs. Our Trend Scouting & Digital Innovations team identifies future trends, evaluates new technologies, and develops innovative solutions for one of Germany's largest savings banks.

Your Responsibilities

• Identify and analyze current trends and innovations in the financial sector, conducting research and market analyses on new technologies, business models, and customer needs.
• Coordinate with business units to assess relevance for Sparkasse KölnBonn and prepare findings for management.
• Support the implementation of selected innovations, take on temporary implementation tasks, and ensure smooth handover to line management within cross-functional teams involving internal and external experts.
• Contribute to the further development of our corporate strategy with your concepts and impulses.
• Represent Sparkasse KölnBonn's interests in selected committees of the S-Finanzgruppe and ensure effective knowledge transfer.

Your Profile

• Successfully completed studies in economics, business informatics, computer science, or a comparable qualification.
• Familiarity with the business model of a financial service provider/bank and understanding of factors influencing customer behavior, such as environmental and social factors.
• Experience in trend scouting, research, or innovation management (ideally in the financial sector), with the ability to quickly grasp new topics and assess their impact on our business model.
• Strong perseverance, focused, and independent working style during research.
• Analytical and strategic thinking, a keen sense for digital trends, high affinity for digital business models, and confident use of digital media and technologies.
