Masterarbeit über maschinelles Lernen für die Konnektivität in Non-Terrestrial Networks
Deutsches Zentrum für Luft- und Raumfahrt (DLR)
About the role
About
The Institute for Communication and Navigation at the German Aerospace Center (DLR) is dedicated to mission-oriented research in selected areas of communication and navigation. Its work ranges from theoretical foundations to the demonstration of new methods and systems in real-world environments, and is integrated into DLR's space, aviation, transport, and security and digitalization programs.
About the Research Group
The Advanced Information Processing research group aims to translate the latest theoretical findings into practical applications within information processing systems. The group's expertise spans from quantum error correction to intelligent data management. They explore state-of-the-art communication theories such as semantic communication and the 'Age of Information' to push the boundaries of data utilization and dissemination.
Your Tasks
In this role, you will develop Machine-Learning solutions for non-terrestrial communication systems. The primary focus will be on implementing the receiver chain for an IoT-LEO (Low Earth Orbit) satellite scenario. The goal is to enhance current receiver algorithms by integrating Machine-Learning models into established signal processing solutions, particularly in challenging scenarios where conventional algorithms reach their performance limits.
Your Profile
- Good knowledge of Machine Learning principles
- Prior experience in implementing and testing ML algorithms
- Good programming skills are advantageous
- Background knowledge in satellite communication systems
- Excellent academic performance
We look forward to meeting you!
