Shape sustainable mobility designs as a Mechanical Design Engineer in a hybrid environment. Focus on rolling stock and infrastructure components while delivering innovative engineering solutions for North America.
In this role, you will create comprehensive technical scopes for renovation projects and perform 3D modeling, design annotations, and Bill of Materials. You will collaborate on mechanical activities, ensuring compliance with quality commitments and project schedules. Expect to conduct thorough engineering studies, prepare Mechanical Design Reviews, and maintain organized documentation of open issues.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop technical Scope of Work for projects
- Perform 3D modeling and documentation
- Conduct design reviews and engineering studies
- Schedule and report on mechanical activities
- Provide technical support to production and customers
Requirements
- BS in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering required
- 5+ years in design engineering or 2 years in railway
- Proficient in Catia v5 with 3+ years experience
- Familiarity with welding codes and industrial processes
- Fluent in French and English; additional languages are a plus
