Mechanical / Electrical Engineer — Building Services

Duties & Responsibilities • Design and engineer HVAC, electrical distribution, fire protection, and wet services installations for commercial and industrial buildings • Prepare technical drawings, calculations, and specifications using CAD/BIM software (AutoCAD, Revit MEP) • Review and coordinate MEP shop drawings and material submittals to ensure compliance with project requirements • Provide technical oversight during the construction and commissioning of building installations • Liaise with project managers, contractors, and clients on technical matters • Ensure designs comply with local codes and international standards • Prepare progress reports, technical documentation, and as-built records • Support procurement by specifying equipment and reviewing vendor proposals • Conduct site inspections to verify installation quality and resolve technical issues Experience & Qualifications • Bachelor's Degree or National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Building Services Engineering • 5+ years of experience in HVAC, MEP, or building services design and/or installation • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, or equivalent design software • Experience with HVAC load calculations and equipment selection • Knowledge of fire protection, wet services, or electrical distribution systems is advantageous • Familiarity with international building codes and standards • Strong communication skills in English; Dutch or Afrikaans is a plus • Willingness to relocate to the Netherlands • Valid driver's licence
