Mechanical Engineer

Our client is seeking a qualified Mechanical Engineer to join their team in Abeokuta, Ogun, NG . This role offers a hybrid work arrangement, blending on-site responsibilities with remote work flexibility. You will be involved in the design, development, testing, and manufacturing of mechanical equipment and systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong theoretical and practical understanding of mechanical engineering principles, excellent problem-solving abilities, and experience with relevant software tools.

Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and test mechanical components and systems according to project requirements. Create detailed drawings, specifications, and technical documentation using CAD software. Analyze the performance of mechanical systems and troubleshoot issues. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineers, designers, and production staff. Oversee the manufacturing and installation processes of mechanical equipment. Conduct research on new technologies and materials to improve product design. Ensure compliance with safety standards and industry regulations. Manage project timelines and resources effectively. Prepare technical reports and present findings to stakeholders. Optimize mechanical systems for efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and reliability. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. Minimum of 4 years of experience in mechanical design and development. Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and simulation tools. Strong understanding of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and materials science. Experience with testing and validation of mechanical systems. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Good communication and teamwork abilities. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines. Knowledge of manufacturing processes and quality control.
