Position

Mechanical Engineering Manager

Missions

  • Lead the design and development of complete agricultural machinery and sub‑systems, ensuring performance, durability, safety, and manufacturability.
  • Own mechanical system architecture, integration, and standardization.
  • Ensure designs meet regulatory, environmental, and field requirements (CE, UL, IP, JKI, etc.).
  • Drive technical decisions through design reviews, risk assessments (DFMEA, DFx), and engineering best practices.
  • Support prototyping, testing, validation, and industrialization, including root cause analysis and issue resolution.
  • Interface with suppliers and manufacturing partners to ensure design for manufacturability (DFM) and assembly (DFA).
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a multidisciplinary team of mechanical & electrical engineers.
  • Set objectives, conduct performance reviews, and foster career growth and accountability.
  • Allocate resources, prioritize projects, and cultivate a high‑performance, collaborative culture.
  • Collaborate with software, industrialization, quality, and procurement teams to ensure integrated, cost‑effective solutions.
  • Incorporate feedback from customers, operators, and field service into continuous design improvement.

Profile

  • Bachelor or master degree in mechanical engineering.
  • 10+ years of mechanical engineering experience, preferably in agricultural machinery or heavy equipment.
  • 4 years of experience in a managerial role.
  • Advanced proficiency in 3D CAD (SolidWorks or equivalent).
  • Experience with FEA/CAE for structural and fatigue analysis.
  • Proven experience in machine development and industrialization:
    • Supporting several product lines or platforms.
    • With cable design and electrical cabinet design.
  • Solid understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.
  • Experienced in BOM control.

  • Excellent technical judgment and problem‑solving abilities.
  • Able to balance strategic thinking with hands‑on involvement.
  • Fluent in French and English.
