At Bowman, we are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Mechanical Engineering Project Manager to join our team in Towson, MD. As a Mechanical Engineering Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the design and execution of mechanical engineering projects, ensuring their successful and timely completion within budget. You will work closely with clients, internal departments, and design teams to deliver exceptional results.

Responsibilities

Leadership and Direction

• Manage people and processes to ensure effective execution, review work produced by staff for quality assurance, and receive broad guidance from senior-level management.

At the Operational and Company Level

• Actively market the firm's capabilities, represent project teams in client communications, coordinate with internal departments, and maintain healthy client relationships.

Do the Work

• Design complex mechanical systems, perform project development, prepare designs, specifications, plans, estimates, and reports, review job cost sheets, and ensure projects stay within budget allocation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related discipline required.
• Eight or more years of industry-related experience in design of commercial, government, academic, R&D, multi-family, industrial, and similar projects.
• Minimum of three years assistant project management experience.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD, REVIT, TraneTrace, and/or eQuest modeling software.
• EIT and LEED accreditation strongly preferred.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license strongly preferred.
• Thorough understanding of business and financial principles in a consulting business, as well as municipal codes and regulations.
