What can you expect from the Mechanical Routing Engineer role within Huisman?

As a Mechanical Routing Engineer at Huisman, you can expect a challenging role in an international organization. What We Expect From You

As a Mechanical Routing Engineer, you are responsible for designing pipelines, cable routes, access, and placing hydraulic or electrical components with associated foundations. Your work is multidisciplinary, and no day is the same. This is what you will do:

• Design access & outfitting at system, base, and detail level of complex systems;
• Indicate priorities (Interface, E-Rooms, HPU) in the design;
• Determine the level of detail required within a project/design based on project requirements;
• Perform impact analysis & system overview of the entire system;
• Act proactively towards all stakeholders to achieve a cost-efficient design.

You have:

• A bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or MBO 4 technician engineering;
• Experience as a Mechanical Routing Engineer, within the offshore/maritime sector;
• We are also open to candidates who are willing to learn this role;
• Experience with designing in 2D and 3D CAD packages, Autodesk Autocad and Inventor is a plus;
• A strong affinity with or interest in complex mechanical systems;
• The ability to adapt quickly to new requirements and know how to set priorities.

Some practical matters you must possess:

• An EU passport/valid work permit for the Netherlands;
• Good command of the Dutch and English languages, both spoken and written.
