We are seeking a skilled and experienced Medical Devices Architect to join a prominent organization in Ottawa. This role is crucial for designing and overseeing the architecture of medical device systems, ensuring compliance, safety, and innovation.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop the overall architecture for medical device systems.
• Ensure adherence to regulatory standards (e.g., Health Canada, FDA, ISO 13485).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including R&D, engineering, quality assurance, and regulatory affairs.
• Define technical specifications and system requirements.
• Evaluate and select appropriate technologies and platforms.
• Oversee the implementation and integration of system components.
• Identify and mitigate technical risks.
• Stay updated with the latest advancements in medical device technology and regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Proven experience as an architect or senior engineer in the medical device industry.
• In-depth knowledge of medical device regulations and standards.
• Experience with system design, software development lifecycle (SDLC), and hardware integration.
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles in medical devices.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
