About the role

We are looking for a persuasive, people-oriented Mentor Recruiter to help us scale our directory by finding and inviting top-tier industry experts. You will be the first point of contact for potential mentors, acting as an ambassador for our mission. Your goal is to identify high-quality "providers," pitch the value of joining our directory, and guide them through the initial interest phase.

Key Responsibilities

  • Active Sourcing: Identify potential mentors through LinkedIn, professional networks, industry events, and social media who align with our community’s needs.
  • Direct Outreach: Craft and send personalized invitation messages to prospective mentors, explaining the benefits of our directory and the impact they can have.
  • Initial Vetting: Conduct brief discovery calls or screenings to ensure prospective mentors meet our community standards and values.
  • Pipeline Management: Track outreach efforts (who was contacted, who responded, who is onboarding) to ensure a steady flow of new mentors for the Directory Manager.
  • Collaborative Strategy: Meet with the Directory Manager to identify "gaps" in the directory (e.g., "We need more Marketing mentors") and pivot sourcing efforts accordingly.

Qualifications

  • The "Relatability" Factor: You are comfortable talking to anyone, from entry-level pros to C-suite executives.
  • Sales or Recruitment Interest: Experience (or a strong interest) in recruitment, talent acquisition, sales, or community building.
  • Strong Communication: Ability to write compelling, warm, and professional emails that get responses.
  • Persistence: You aren’t discouraged by a "no" or a lack of response; you understand that recruiting is a numbers game fueled by genuine connection.
