Mergers and Acquisitions Analyst
This is an exciting opportunity and is perfectly suited for individuals with a deep interest in the intricacies of company mergers and acquisitions (M&A). Collaborating closely with Senior Deal Makers, you will play a pivotal role in the identification, assessment, and execution of M&A activities.
Remuneration
Market related CTC. Your remuneration is heavily weighted towards a bonus structure based on your contribution to securing, preparing, and closing transactions.

Responsibilities
As an M&A Analyst, you will assist in the end-to-end management of M&A transactions from origination through to execution. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to –
- Conducting industry research, financial analysis, due diligence, and market assessments for potential M&A opportunities to strengthen market visibility, and drive client acquisition and deal origination.
- The preparation of pitch books, information memoranda, and other transaction-related documents.
- Developing detailed financial models, including pricing analyses, and scenario planning.
- The compilation and maintenance of company databases and investor registers.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to support business development strategy, deal execution, and client engagement.
- Building and nurturing client relationships, attending client meetings, and delivering regular updates and insights to both internal and external stakeholders throughout the transaction lifecycle.
Key Requirements
To be considered for the M&A position, you must –
- Have at a minimum Bcom Honours in finance, economics, investment, accounting or similar.
- Be willing to work a minimum of 50 hours per week.
- Be Self-motivated, well-organised and able to manage multiple projects with a high level of attention to detail.
- Be able to work under pressure in a fast-paced, deadline-driven team-based environment with minimal supervision.
- Be a quick learner with a lifelong willingness to learn and grow.
- Be able to filter through large amounts of information in a timely and efficient manner.
- Have outstanding written and oral communication skills.
- Have knowledge of excel and financial modelling.
- Be able to use and leverage generate AI and large language models.
- Be able to understand the integration of income statements, balance sheets and cash flow statements.
- Have good knowledge of accounting principles, tax regulations, legal regulations, and economic indicators.
- Have knowledge of policies, regulations, and current affairs and their impact on mergers and acquisitions.
