Wir suchen im Rahmen einer Direktvermittlung für unseren Kunden, ein global agierendes S&P 500 Unternehmen im Bereich Industrial Automation, einen MES Lead Engineer / Technical Project Manager (m/w/d) für den Raum Ingelheim.

Unser Kunde ist ein weltweit führender und zukunftsweisender Innovator in der Automatisierungstechnik und Optimierung von Produktionsprozessen auf sämtlichen Ebenen der Prozessautomation. Das Produkt- und Lösungsportfolio umfasst Messtechnik und Sensorik, Instrumentierung und Aktorik, Prozessleittechnik sowie Asset Management‑Lösungen bis hin zu Advanced Control Systemen zur Optimierung und Effizienzsteigerung verfahrenstechnischer Anlagen.

In this role you, will be responsible for the overall design and engineering of project‑specific Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), primarily within the pharmaceutical and biotech industries. This will also entail system integration solutions like LIMS or ERP to clients.

Responsibilities

• Design and lead the implementation of MES systems and system integration solutions projects based on industry accepted GMP procedures
• Design MES/ERP solutions for customer specific applications
• Guide customers in defining ERP/ LIMS/ etc. interfaces and ensure the successful deployment of these interfaces
• Define the scope, system‑size, operational‑ and integration requirements
• Support project estimations and ensure the execution methodology, such as client interviews and documentation reviews, etc.
• Define functional requirements through client interviews and documentation/specification analysis
• Develop detailed designs that meet client requirements as well as documentation required for validated facilities
• Work with an experienced team of sales engineers, consultants and software developers
• Ensure that all engineering activities are undertaken in accordance with the relevant quality control processes as well as in compliance with the relevant GMP requirements
• Coach and mentor fellow project members
• Install and commission MES software applications in‑house (FAT) and at customer site (SAT)
• Conduct design studies, commissioning and trainings

Qualifications

• Technical degree in Computer Science, Chemical Engineering, Control System Engineering, Process Engineering, Automation, Information Technology, or other adequate education
• Affinity for IT and experience in a programming language
• Professional Experience in an FDA regulated industry
• Knowledge of regulations such as cGMP, 21 CFR Part 11 and systems validation would be beneficial
• Industrial experience with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), such as Syncade, Rockwell ProPack Data, Werum PAS‑X or similar
• Experience in implementing software solutions implementation in a biotech, pharma or life science sector would be favorable
• Leadership skills
• Experience in integrating MES / ERP systems (SAP preferred)
• Batch plant operation experience preferred
• Fluency in German and English
