Metal Fabrication Value Stream Manager

Location: Eagle, Wisconsin (Local candidates only – no relocation) Salary: $108K – $150K Visa Sponsorship: No visa sponsorship

Join a growing, high-mix/low-volume manufacturing operation leading fabrication for critical power equipment components. This role oversees a full value stream with a focus on lean transformation, team leadership, and operational excellence across sheet metal fabrication.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily operations for a metal fabrication value stream (laser, turret, press brake, welding, robotic welding)
• Drive Lean Manufacturing initiatives (flow, pull/Kanban, standard work, PDCA)
• Improve safety, quality, delivery, and cost metrics
• Build and develop a high-performing team through coaching and accountability
• Lead continuous improvement and problem-solving (root cause, 5 Why, corrective actions)
• Support new product introductions (NPI) and facility expansion efforts
• Utilize ERP systems (SAP or similar) to drive visibility and performance

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• 5+ years in operations, manufacturing, or lean leadership
• Strong background in sheet metal fabrication (cutting, forming, welding, automation)
• Experience with Lean tools (Kanban, PFEP, standardized work)
• Proven leadership ability with a hands-on, floor-driven approach
• ERP/MRP experience (SAP preferred)

• Comfortable driving change and scaling fabrication operations
