Your new job

As an Azure Cloud Engineer (m/f/d), you will be responsible for the conception, architecture, implementation, and stable operation of modern cloud platforms based on Microsoft Azure. In addition to your profound Azure expertise, you will bring in in-depth network know-how to realize performant, secure, and highly available cloud and hybrid infrastructures.

Cloud Architecture & Design:

• You design, develop, and document scalable, highly available, and secure cloud architectures in Microsoft Azure
• You create architectural concepts, solution designs, operating concepts, and migration strategies
• You plan and execute cloud migrations (Lift & Shift, Re-Platforming, Re-Architecting)
• You build and further develop Azure Landing Zones according to the Cloud Adoption Framework (CAF)
• You optimize costs and manage resources efficiently (FinOps basics, Azure Cost Management).

Network & Security Architecture:

• You design and implement network structures in Azure (VNet, Peering, VPN, ExpressRoute, Load Balancer, Application Gateway, Azure Front Door)
• You integrate on-premises, hybrid, and multi-cloud environments and implement zero-trust architectures
• You implement network security and identity concepts (NSG, Azure Firewall, WAF, RBAC, Conditional Access)
• You ensure compliance, data protection, and security requirements according to best practices

Automation, Operations & Platform Services:

• You automate cloud infrastructures using Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform), PowerShell, or Azure CLI
• You implement and operate monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions (Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Application Insights)
• You are responsible for stability, performance, backup, and disaster recovery concepts
• You continuously manage, optimize, and develop existing Azure environments

Consulting & Collaboration:

• You advise internal and external stakeholders on Azure architectures and cloud strategies
• You conduct workshops, proof-of-concepts, architecture reviews, and technical presentations
• You work closely with project management, security, compliance, workplace, DevOps, and application teams

That's you?

• You have several years of experience as a Cloud Engineer or in a comparable role – ideally with certifications such as AZ-104 / AZ-305 (desirable: AZ-500, AZ-700)
• You have in-depth knowledge of Microsoft Azure, especially in the areas of:
  • Compute: Virtual Machines, App Services, Functions, Containers
  • Storage: Blob, File, Disk, Backup
  • Networking: VNet, NSG, Load Balancer, Application Gateway, DNS
  • Governance & Management: Azure Policy, Blueprints, Management Groups
  • Best Practices: Cloud Adoption Framework, Well-Architected Framework, Landing Zones
• You have sound knowledge in classic networking:
  • Routing, Switching, VLAN, Subnetting, WAN architectures
  • VPN technologies and hybrid networks
  • Network protocols such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP
• You work in a structured, analytical, and solution-oriented manner.
• You take responsibility and place great importance on quality.
• You communicate clearly and convincingly and have a strong consulting mentality.
• You enjoy new technologies and continuously educate yourself.
• You have very good German and good English skills.
