For the establishment of the ERP team at my client, with its main location in the Stuttgart/Karlsruhe/Heilbronn Tübingen area and a branch in the Dresden region, a family-run, medium-sized, market-leading MS Dynamics NAV end-customer who has been planning, manufacturing, and distributing its products worldwide in the metal industry since the early 1990s (partially with exclusive distribution rights) and employs approximately 240 people at locations in the DACH region, I am looking for an Inhouse Microsoft Dynamics NAV Application Developer / Technical Consultant (m/f) for permanent employment on short notice.

At the beginning of the year, the company switched to Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2017. Thus, the ERP system is in use in all important areas such as sales, online marketing, purchasing, content management, warehouse, work preparation, design, and manufacturing. NAV 2013 is still used at some locations, which is to be standardized in subsequent projects. A small developer license is available, so the most important adjustments, new functionalities, customizing, and report and interface design can be carried out in-house, while the Microsoft partner will continue to be commissioned for larger adjustments (depending on volume and capacity). You will be supported by a NAV Development colleague with whom you will implement the requirements together. Therefore, a motivated NAV specialist with a hands-on mentality is sought, who likes to think outside the box and also contributes creative ideas to interface topics.

The reporting line goes to the IT Department Manager, who also acts as a Prokurist and CFO.

Your Responsibilities

• ERP Application Manager of the new MS Dynamics NAV 2017 system including technical conception and independent setup
• Participation in the implementation of important in-house NAV projects, such as version upgrades, considering legacy data migration, including regular project documentation and reporting
• Continuous in-house development/programming of solutions
• On-site consultation with specialist departments for requirements gathering in the software and improvement of business processes for correct mapping in the ERP system
• Interface development and support for seamless communication of IT systems, including the webshop, product information management, or provider data
• Consulting and clarification of user questions regarding problems with NAV (approx. 180 active users) and conducting training
• Contact person for the external service provider, monitoring of work performed, and ensuring pleasant cooperation

Your Qualifications

• Successfully completed studies in (Business) Informatics or a corresponding vocational training/equivalent prior experience in Application Development
• Comprehensive know-how in the application of Navision or MS Dynamics NAV and programming skills in the development languages C/AL and C/SIDE
• Broad prior knowledge of Navision modules (such as production), business processes, and ERP implementation projects is an advantage
• Strong IT understanding, including in SQL or .NET
• A team-oriented personality with a sense for business administration and technology
• An independent, precise, and responsible way of working
• Fluent German and good English skills (multicultural due to international cooperation)
