Overview
GovCIO is excited to announce an opening for a Mid Level Quality Assurance Engineer. In this crucial role, you will contribute to testing and automating a specialized government software solution. This position is fully remote, allowing you to work from anywhere in the U.S.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement effective testing methods and tools to ensure products meet all specifications.
- Organize labor, schedules, and equipment necessary for testing and product evaluation.
- Create detailed test cases, both automated and manual, for software solutions.
- Compile data and identify necessary changes while reporting defects and issues encountered during testing.
- Conduct product walkthroughs and engage with the development or requirements teams to coordinate application testing.
- Perform analysis, diagnostics, and preliminary evaluations of products.
- Establish and document testing procedures as well as develop test plans, scripts, scenarios, functional tests, regression tests, and deployment tests.
- Ensure all testing activities adhere to established processes and produce detailed reports on testing outcomes while tracking relevant metrics.
- Continuously evaluate and improve testing processes through failure, throughput, and yield analysis, providing periodic reports to management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree with 2-5 years of relevant experience or equivalent professional expertise.
- Proficient in automation testing tools such as Selenium, SOAP UI, TestComplete, or Cucumber.
- Ability to obtain USPTO Public Trust clearance.
Preferred Skills and Experience
- AWS Cloud proficiency.
- Experience with Performance Testing and 508 Compliance.
- Familiarity with Azure and Agile environments.

Posted Salary Range
The expected salary range for this position starts at $85,000.00 and can go up to $95,000.00 per year, depending on various factors, including market location, experience, education, and skills.
