Backend Engineer

Sarmaya builds enterprise systems, digital platforms, and AI-enabled operational infrastructure for modern organizations. We are looking for Backend Engineers who can design and develop scalable services powering complex digital products.

You will work on high-performance backend systems responsible for handling transactions, user activity, data processing, and integrations across large distributed platforms.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable backend services and APIs
• Build microservices supporting high-volume applications
• Integrate third-party services including payment systems, logistics APIs, and identity services
• Optimize database performance and query efficiency
• Implement authentication, authorization, and security controls
• Work with frontend and mobile teams to deliver end-to-end product functionality
• Maintain clean architecture and well-documented code

Requirements

• 3–6 years backend development experience
• Strong experience with Node.js, Python, Java, Go, or .NET
• Experience designing REST APIs and service architecture
• Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases
• Understanding of cloud infrastructure and containerization
• Experience with distributed systems and event-driven architecture
