We are seeking a talented and motivated Mid-Level Storage Solutions Engineer to join a leading technology integrator specializing in technical, engineering, intelligence, and enterprise IT solutions. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity. Applicants must be willing and able to work on a W2 basis, transitioning to full-time following the contract duration. We offer an attractive benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision coverage, 401k with company matching, and life insurance.
Key Responsibilities
- Setting up and configuring various storage systems, including SAN, NAS, and direct-attached storage.
- Administering daily operations of the storage area network and associated platforms.
- Performing maintenance and deployment tasks for SAN systems.
- Provisioning storage, creating volumes, setting up LUNs, and executing data migrations.
- Monitoring storage capacity, health, and performance metrics to ensure optimal functionality.
- Implementing and managing regular data backup and disaster recovery protocols.
- Configuring storage technologies for IPv6 communication in addition to IPv4.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in providing storage solutions engineering support, focusing on management, administration, and maintenance of SAN and NAS systems.
- Experience with administering storage area networks, particularly with EMC and NetApp systems and enterprise backup solutions.
- Familiarity with storage cloud infrastructure.
- Ability to effectively monitor storage capacity, health, and performance metrics.
- Capability to perform regular backups and ensure disaster recovery procedures are in place.
- Strong understanding of IPv6 networking, including addressing, routing, subnetting, network design, and troubleshooting.
Education
- EMC Certified Storage Administrator or NetApp Certified Data Administrator, or equivalent certification.
