Responsibilities

In this role, you will take the lead in creating accurate engineering documents that comply with stringent industry codes and client expectations. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver innovative and safe solutions, driving projects forward while managing schedules and building meaningful client relationships.

• Engineering Excellence & Compliance: Prepare accurate engineering documents that meet industry codes, standards, and client specifications. Stay current with industry codes, safety standards, and nuclear design techniques.
• Quality & Deliverable Management: Create high-quality engineering deliverables that align with client expectations and project scopes. Conduct peer and technical reviews to ensure precision and compliance.
• Client Engagement & Collaboration: Establish strong client relationships through effective communication and quality deliverables. Work collaboratively across disciplines to deliver compatible designs that meet all project requirements.
• Project Oversight & Leadership: Oversee project schedules, resources, and budgets to ensure on-time and cost-effective delivery. Act as Responsible Engineer (RE) or Lead Responsible Engineer (LRE) to ensure project success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited university.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in critical facilities or power design for mid-level candidates.
• Experience with Critical Facilities HVAC systems including:
  • Data center and/or telecommunications project design, emphasizing reliability, redundancy, and diversity in system designs.
  • Understanding of chilled water systems, pumping systems, piping systems, cooling towers, air handling systems, refrigerant systems (DX Air Handlers), and fan systems and ductwork.
  • Experience with raised floor, overhead and in-row cooling systems, Title 24, Trane Trace, and building controls systems.
• Ability to develop project specifications.
• Proficient in Microsoft Suite.
• Required experience with AutoCAD in an engineering setting.
• Professional Engineer designation preferred.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively as an individual contributor and as part of a team.
• Willingness to travel 10%-15%; trip duration may vary based on project and client needs, ranging from a few days to a few weeks.

Pay Range

USD $95,000.00 - USD $180,000.00 /Yr.
