Millwrights - Multiple Positions in BC

TalentCompass is currently assisting several clients across BC with their millwright roles. We have clients in Kamloops, Kelowna, Salmon Arm, Fort St. John, Dawson Creek, Penticton, Grand Forks, Williams Lake, Prince George, etc. These are all permanent onsite positions, offer a variety of shifts (morning, afternoon and evening) days and nights, 8 - 12 hours per day.

Responsibilities

• Maintains, repairs, installs, assembles and modifies equipment
• Lubrication of machinery, seal replacement, cleaning of parts during overhauls and preventative maintenance.
• Reads and creates blueprints and schematic drawings to determine work procedures.
• Enter work requests and order parts and materials with CMMS
• Install, repair and maintain airlines, pneumatic and hydraulic systems
• Maintain and monitor equipment using predictive and preventive techniques. (Vibration analysis, stethoscopes, strobe lights and thermal imaging.)
• Troubleshoot electrical problems, make decisions necessary to repair, and restore equipment to design specifications.
• Perform electrical tests using megger, OHM meter, and other test equipment.
• Perform work utilizing prints and/or computer logic.
• Perform complex predictive and preventative electrical maintenance functions.
• Make process control changes.
• Read wiring and circuit diagrams.

Qualifications

• 4th class apprentice or Red Seal Industrial Mechanic/Millwright
• Knowledge of equipment maintenance
• Ability to stand on feet for long periods of time, climb, bend, stoop, squat and lift.
• Ability to work in confined spaces and at substantial heights
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Time management, prioritization, and multi-tasking skills.
• Good communication, interpersonal skills and writing skills
