Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree in Mining Engineering.
• 2 years’ Supervisory or Management Experience.
• 6 years’ Mine Engineering experience within an open cast mining environment.
• Professional Status: ECSA (advantageous).
• System Skills: Enterprise Resource Planning Systems, Microsoft Office, Mine Planning Software, Geology Software.
• Behavioral: business acumen, leadership skills, relationship building skills, results driven personality and change management skills.
• Valid code B driving license.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Business intelligence and trend analyses.
• Functional process optimization.
• Provide strategic functional direction.
• Promote statutory compliance.
• Plan, implement, control and monitor approved changes.
• Interpret mining operational plan and production results.
• Implement operations effectiveness model and practice.
• Provide input into functional planning.
• Remain up to date with micro- and macro-economic conditions.
• Analyze production asset performance trends against required objectives, implement corrective actions where needed.
• Internal and external stakeholder relations.
• Provide highly specialized support to various stakeholders.
• Participate in and contribute to the workforce planning process.
