The Air Line Pilots Association, International (ALPA) is seeking an experienced and innovative Mobile and Web Application Developer to join our dynamic team in Tysons (McLean), Virginia. As a pivotal member of our organization, you will gather user requirements, perform system design and analysis, and develop and test robust mobile and web applications. Your contributions will support complex application/database integrations and ensure alignment with our corporate technical architecture standards.

You will collaborate with architects, developers, data analysts, and other technology specialists to implement projects effectively. Your expertise will play a vital role in researching, identifying, and recommending technology infrastructure alternatives. You may also assist in designing new solutions when appropriate and provide insights to management regarding technical direction and problem resolution.

This role will involve working closely with business knowledge experts, association leadership, and data analysts to define the vision of ALPA's data storage systems and translate reporting requirements into physical databases. You will ensure compliance with departmental, MEC, and association policies while providing valuable collaboration across various departments.

You may be required to travel locally and nationally, with occasional international travel (5 - 10%).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in relevant field such as Computer Science, IT, or Web Applications; a master's degree or postgraduate coursework is preferred.
• Minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience required.
• Expertise with .NET MAUI, Blazor, Sitecore, DNN, Coveo, Visual Studio.Net, ASP.Net, C#, and SQL Server.
• Proficient in web markup languages including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Knowledge of client-side scripting and jQuery is a must.
• Experience with CMS, JavaScript frameworks, version control, and RESTful APIs is a plus.
• Understanding of asynchronous request handling, AJAX, and web performance tools is desirable.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential for collaborating with all levels of stakeholders.
• Strong time management skills and ability to multi-task effectively.
• Knowledge of image authoring tools for basic adjustments is beneficial.
• Experience in end-user security administration is an asset.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).

Physical Demands

You will regularly operate a computer, maintain a stationary position, and communicate effectively. Occasionally, you may need to lift items such as files or luggage. Local and occasional international travel is expected.

Salary

Projected annual salary range: $96,027 - $137,179.
