Mobile Application Developer

Job Overview

You will collaborate closely with the Baseball Operations and software engineering teams to design, develop, and operationalize a mobile application that centralizes various information sources and video content. You will manage the entire application life cycle, driving both its initial development and ongoing enhancements.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with Baseball Operations to create project plans for app development, ensuring timely progress tracking and reporting.
• Gather user requirements, analyze business processes, and document clear use cases to guide app development.
• Utilize industry best practices to develop, modify, and refine the app, ensuring code is efficient and maintainable.
• Identify and suggest feature enhancements to improve user experience and functionality of the app.
• Coordinate with external data and video providers to seamlessly integrate content into the application.
• Adopt an iterative development approach for rapid deployment and continuous improvement of the application.
• Oversee system acceptance testing, setting up test scenarios and validating performance against business needs.
• Provide ongoing app support, including user training, troubleshooting, and implementing upgrades to maintain optimal performance.

Qualifications

Required:

• Proficiency in Swift, iOS SDK, and Android SDK.
• Solid background in object-oriented programming, mobile security, and development best practices.
• Experience in creating mobile applications that work with SQL Server or comparable database systems.
• Familiarity with mobile UI/UX design principles.
• Ability to integrate diverse data sources and media into a cohesive mobile application.
• Strong communication skills to collaborate with users, understand business processes, and document requirements effectively.

Desired:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Experience with REST service development and AWS API Gateway configuration.
• Knowledge of Python and JavaScript programming languages.
• Familiarity with the Django framework.
