Position Summary
The Modern Workplace Engineer will report directly to the Director of Modern Workplace Engineering. You will be a technical‑focused member within the Modern Workplace Engineering team, contributing to the strategic direction, governance, and operational maturity of the Microsoft 365, Power Platform, and Endpoint environments at SNHU. You will serve as a trusted partner to stakeholders across the university, ensuring that projects, roadmaps, and capacity planning efforts are aligned to institutional goals. You will represent the team, facilitate collaboration with department heads and leaders, and provide guidance and mentorship to peers across the Modern Workplace Engineering team. This role is 100% remote. #LI‑Remote
Responsibilities
- Help develop strategy, governance, and operations for SNHU's Microsoft 365 and Power Platform environments, including Copilot Studio adoption, DLP policies, and architecture standards.
- Facilitate roadmap development, capacity planning, and project delivery for Modern Workplace Engineering projects.
- Be a liaison with partners, department leaders, and peer IT teams, ensuring understanding of projects with institutional priorities.
- Lead projects across Modern Workplace Engineering, including cross‑functional support for Endpoint Operations (e.g., Application Management, MDM, VDI, and DaaS).
- Develop and deliver training, documentation, and communication to promote adoption of modern workplace technologies.
- Represent Modern Workplace Engineering in important forums, providing polished and professional communication that strengthens the credibility of ITS.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement, innovation, and user experience enhancement across the M365 ecosystem.
- Demonstrate exceptional professionalism, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Translate organizational needs into technical strategy.
- Provide project facilitation, capacity planning, and organizational skills.
- Work self‑directed with the ability to guide programs independently while collaborating across teams.
- Build trusted relationships with peers, partners, and leadership.
Requirements
- 5+ years managing Microsoft 365 or Endpoint Operations (Intune, SCCM).
- Experience with governance, security, and compliance in cloud and modern workplace environments.
- Experience with Microsoft 365 services, including Power Platform, Copilot, Teams, and SharePoint Online.
- Experience with Endpoint Management tools such as Intune, MECM, JAMF, and Windows Autopilot.
- Experience with ITIL processes, cloud desktop technologies, and automation best practices.
- Experience implementing or managing governance frameworks and security/compliance controls.
- Experience developing roadmaps, facilitating projects, and driving collaboration.
Compensation
The annual pay range for this position is $70,729 – $113,188. Actual offer will be based on skills, qualifications, experience, internal equity, and relevant business considerations. Target hiring range: $78,155 – $105,739.
