Job Duties/Responsibilities
- Oversee the team responsible for engineering design on roadways and multi‑modal transportation corridor projects
- Serve as a technical specialist in roadway design, alignment and grade, hydraulics, right‑of‑way, or other design specialty areas
- Manage team effort to meet goals for project delivery and quality while managing budget and schedule
- Develop new business for the team and prepare proposals for major project pursuits
- Develop and maintain client relationships
- Create a positive working environment through supportive teamwork, proactive communication and enthusiastic attitude
- Other duties as assigned
Minimum Education Requirements
- B.S. in Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering, Environmental Engineering or a related field
Required Qualifications (skills/experience/certifications)
- PE License in Montana, or ability to obtain by reciprocity
- 10+ years of relevant transportation and roadway design experience
- Demonstrated ability to manage a team, work collaboratively and communicate effectively with team members
- Strong technical writing and presentation skills
Preferred Qualifications (skills/experience/certifications)
- Experience working with MDT or similar DOT client preferred
- Demonstrated experience with design software (MicroStation/OpenRoads or AutoCAD)

Compensation
- $125,000 – $165,000 per year
