About the role

Job Description

A well-established accounting and auditing firm is looking for an experienced Monthly Accounts Clerk / Bookkeeper with strong bookkeeping and financial processing skills to manage multiple client accounts up to trial balance and support monthly reporting and compliance functions.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain multiple client bookkeeping records up to trial balance
  • Prepare monthly management accounts
  • Process and submit VAT and EMP calculations and returns
  • Perform ETI calculations and submissions
  • Conduct bank processing and reconciliations
  • Reconcile debtors and creditors accounts
  • Assist with handling client financial records and reporting
  • Support junior clerks where required
  • Ensure accurate and timely financial data processing and reporting

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in an accounting or bookkeeping role
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Experience with Sage and/or Xero advantageous
  • Experience with E-Filing and EasyFile advantageous
  • Strong understanding of bank reconciliations and financial processing
  • Ability to work up to trial balance
  • Knowledge of VAT, EMP, and ETI submissions advantageous
  • Strong numerical accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple clients
  • Professional, organised, and trustworthy approach
