About the role
Job Description
A well-established accounting and auditing firm is looking for an experienced Monthly Accounts Clerk / Bookkeeper with strong bookkeeping and financial processing skills to manage multiple client accounts up to trial balance and support monthly reporting and compliance functions.
Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain multiple client bookkeeping records up to trial balance
- Prepare monthly management accounts
- Process and submit VAT and EMP calculations and returns
- Perform ETI calculations and submissions
- Conduct bank processing and reconciliations
- Reconcile debtors and creditors accounts
- Assist with handling client financial records and reporting
- Support junior clerks where required
- Ensure accurate and timely financial data processing and reporting
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years' experience in an accounting or bookkeeping role
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Experience with Sage and/or Xero advantageous
- Experience with E-Filing and EasyFile advantageous
- Strong understanding of bank reconciliations and financial processing
- Ability to work up to trial balance
- Knowledge of VAT, EMP, and ETI submissions advantageous
- Strong numerical accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple clients
