Role Overview

The Technical Publications Specialist will be responsible for creating, managing, and maintaining technical documentation that supports engineering teams and end-users across Marmon's global business groups.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, write, and edit technical documentation including user manuals, system operation guides, and installation instructions; collaborate with engineering and product development teams to gather information and ensure content accuracy.
  • Interview production and engineering personnel and read journals, reports, and other material to become familiar with product technologies and production methods; review manufacturer's catalogs, drawings, and data relative to operation, maintenance, and service of equipment.
  • Ensure technical documentation meets industry standards and regulatory requirements; edit and update existing documents to reflect current information; create diagrams, charts, and other visual aids to complement written content; maintain documentation project schedules and manage content deadlines.
  • Determine the clearest and most logical way to present information for greatest reader comprehension; meet with subject-matter experts to ensure specialized topics are appropriately addressed; analyze information required for development or update of policy, procedure, and form documentation.
