Software Engineer (TS/SCI + Poly Clearance)
Sitting fully onsite in any of the following locations:
- Chantilly, VA
- Herndon, VA
- Aurora, CO
Must Haves:
- 5+ years of overall experience in software engineering or software development for IT systems and a Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent field (*4 years of work experience can be substituted for a Bachelor’s degree)
- Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph
- 5+ years of Java development experience building RESTful services
- Experience using Java frameworks and libraries such as Spring Boot, Mockito, Lombok, and OpenAPI (Swagger)
- Experience managing and building applications with Git and Gradle
- Experience working with, or working knowledge of third‑party technologies including Kafka, MongoDB, ActiveMQ, and/or NiFi
- Experience containerizing applications and deploying to Kubernetes using Helm Charts
- Active Security+ CE, SSCP, CCNA-Security, or GSEC certification

Day to Day:
Insight Global is hiring a Software Engineer to develop and support Java‑based RESTful services in a secure environment. In this role, you will write, update, and maintain Java services using established frameworks and libraries, ensuring the APIs are reliable, well‑structured, and easy to integrate with other systems.
You will work within an existing codebase managed in Git and built using Gradle, contributing new functionality and supporting ongoing updates. Day to day, your work will involve developing services that interact with messaging, data, and integration technologies such as Kafka, MongoDB, ActiveMQ, and NiFi.
Finally, you’ll also package applications into containers and deploy them to Kubernetes environments using Helm Charts, supporting consistent deployments and operational stability. This role involves working with applications running in cloud environments, with AWS exposure as part of the broader deployment landscape.
Cloud/DevOps Engineer (TS/SCI + Poly Clearance):

- Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph
- 5+ years of experience in build, deployment, release automation, and orchestration - supporting cloud-based applications and infrastructure
- Proven experience supporting cloud environments across one or more major platforms, including AWS, Microsoft Azure, and/or Google Cloud
- Hands-on experience with infrastructure-as-code practices, automated configuration management, and large-scale software deployments
- Strong experience designing, building, and maintaining continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines
- Experience with containerized application deployments, including hands-on work with Docker and orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes or OpenShift
- Active IAT Level II certification, such as Security+ CE, SSCP, CCNA-Security, or GSEC
Plusses:
- Scripting abilities in languages like Bash, PowerShell, or Python
- Familiarity with protocols including JSON and XML
- Understanding of frameworks like OWASP or DevSecOps
- Cloud Certification (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate, Google Cloud Architect, or MCSE – Cloud Platform).

Insight Global is looking to hire a DevOps/Cloud Engineer (TS/SCI + Poly) for one of our clients, sitting onsite in Chantilly, VA. In this role, you will leverage your development background to streamline the entire software development life cycle, from initial build through deployment, using modern cloud-native managed services. You will lead efforts to integrate open-source tooling, automation, and infrastructure-as-code practices while working within Agile frameworks to deliver secure, scalable enterprise solutions. The work centers on reducing friction in getting code from concept into production, while maintaining strong security and compliance standards.
