Senior Business Analyst – Trade Management (Murex FO)

About the Role

You will join the Trade Management team that is building SABRE, the bank’s strategic cross‑asset risk platform for trade processing, valuation and market data.
Your primary focus will be the Trade Data Store (TDS2) – designing, enhancing and supporting the end‑to‑end lifecycle of trades (booking, pricing, replication) for FX and IR products. You will act as the bridge between Front‑Office traders, product owners, and the development team, ensuring that new product onboarding, system enhancements and issue resolution are delivered on time and to specification.


Key Responsibilities

Area What You’ll Do
Stakeholder Coordination • Align timelines, funding and governance with Financial‑Markets project teams and the Technical Development Manager.
• Keep cross‑disciplinary teams on track with requirements, deadlines and schedules.
Requirements & Documentation • Capture workshop actions, track deliverables and maintain a clean repository of project artifacts.
• Produce Gap Analyses, Business Requirements Documents (BRDs) and Project Approval Requests.
• Document risks, issues and mitigation plans for Product Owners, Business Owners and Program Management.
Business Knowledge • Work closely with SMEs to understand current processes and identify improvement opportunities.
• Translate functional needs into clear, testable specifications.
Testing & Validation • Participate in test cycles, prepare test packs and support UAT execution.
• Verify that enhancements meet Front‑Office trader requirements and regulatory standards.
Support & Issue Resolution • Provide third‑level business support for trade replication issues and platform incidents.
• Liaise with developers to analyse root causes and drive corrective actions.
Continuous Improvement • Propose system/process enhancements based on functional knowledge of SABRE, Murex FO and market data flows.
Agile Practices • Contribute to sprint planning, backlog grooming and retrospectives.
• Champion Agile principles within the team.

Required Skills & Experience

Must‑Have Details
Experience 8‑12 years in business analysis, solution design and end‑to‑end delivery within Financial Markets.
Murex FO Hands‑on experience with Murex Front‑Office (mandatory).
Domain Expertise Deep knowledge in one of the following (mandatory):
• Equities & Fixed Income
• Commodities (especially precious & base metals)
• FX Options (FXO strategies & structures)
• Reference Data (building reference‑data systems & market‑data integrations)
Trade Lifecycle Understanding of trade booking, lifecycle, pricing (static & market data) – strong emphasis on FX (swaps, forwards, NDFs) and IR (repo, bonds).
Analytical Ability Strong problem‑solving, data‑driven analysis and ability to review code changes (technical background preferred).
Agile Knowledge Practical experience with Agile development practices (Scrum/Kanban).
Communication Excellent written & verbal English (C2 level); ability to produce clear documentation and deliver compelling presentations.
Documentation Discipline Meticulous upkeep of project artefacts, risk registers, functional specs, etc.
Proactive Attitude Ability to work independently, take initiative and drive issues to resolution.

Preference Details
Certifications Scrum Master, Product Owner, PMP, or equivalent.
Large‑Scale Platforms Experience with enterprise‑wide financial‑markets technology platforms.
Additional Technical Skills Familiarity with SQL, Python, or other scripting languages for data validation.

Requirements

  • Must have deep & strong experience in any one of below (mandatory): Equities and Fix Income, Commodities, especially Precious & Base Metals, FX Options, Reference Data

Responsibilities

  • Coordinating with stakeholders from various project teams in Financial Markets, agree timelines and funding, manage all governance requirements in close collaboration with technical development manager
  • Coordinating with cross discipline team members to make sure that all parties are on track with project requirements, deadlines, and schedules
  • Document Actions from the workshops and assist with the tracking of the deliverables.
  • Prepare Gap Analysis, Business Requirements Documents and Project Approval Requests
  • Work closely with SME experts in various areas of the business gaining an understanding of their processes.
  • Document and raise any Risks and Issues to the Product Owners, Business owners and Program Management.
  • Take part in project testing cycles and assist with the preparation of test packs.
  • Understand the functionalities of the current systems and process, and come up with requirements for system/process improvements.
