About the Oracle Veteran Internship Program (OVIP)

Oracle sponsors an internship and integration program for transitioning military veterans and active-duty Military Spouses new to corporate culture. The program provides hands-on job-skill training, professional and personal development, and exposure to fields such as information technology, technical/systems consulting, technical support, facilities, finance, human resources, logistics, marketing, sales, or developmental training in sales or customer support.

Veterans and Military Spouses accepted into the program work closely with corporate leadership, veteran coaches, and HR professionals to prepare for a successful transition.

Responsibilities

  • Support pre-sales consultants in understanding customer requirements and translating them into effective technology solutions.
  • Assist in the preparation and delivery of compelling product demonstrations and presentations to potential customers.
  • Collaborate with the pre-sales team to develop customized solutions, addressing customer challenges and objectives.
  • Assist in technical sales support activities, including product configuration, proof-of-concept development, and solution testing.
  • Contribute to the creation of high-quality sales collateral, including proposals, whitepapers, and case studies.
  • Stay up to date with the latest industry trends, Oracle products, and competitive offerings.
  • Support the pre-sales team in providing post-sales technical support and addressing customer inquiries.

Requirements

  • Military veteran with an honorable discharge, possessing a strong work ethic, discipline, and dedication to excellence.
  • Interest in pursuing a career in pre-sales consulting or a related field within the technology industry.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Technical aptitude and ability to quickly grasp new technologies.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.

Additional Information

  • Hourly wage is $30 per hour for a 40 hour per week position.
  • US hiring range: $18.17 - $34.62 per hour; $37,800 - $72,000 per year.
