The client is seeking a NAM Chief Accountant for a newly established Head of Finance and Accounting role, which reports directly to the CEO. Responsibilities

• Managing and overseeing all accounting operations such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activities.
• Ensuring compliance with financial regulations and standards like GAAP, preparing accurate financial reports, and leading month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Developing accounting policies, procedures, and controls to boost efficiency.
• Working with cross-functional teams for financial insights to support business decisions.
• Managing and mentoring the Accounting and Finance team, aiming to foster professional development and operational excellence.
• Supporting audits and collaborating with external auditors.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Proven expertise in the Retail industry.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and other financial regulations.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Proficiency in accounting software and financial systems.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
