Network Automation Engineer

We’re hiring a Network Automation Engineer to support a large enterprise network environment with a strong focus on Cisco SD‑WAN, Cisco Catalyst Center, and automation. This role is hands‑on and operational, but automation experience is a requirement.

What You’ll Do

• Provide network support and troubleshooting across a complex environment
• Support and operate Cisco SD‑WAN (onboarding, tunnel health, transport issues, policy troubleshooting)
• Support Cisco Catalyst Center for device onboarding, monitoring, assurance workflows, and compliance
• Troubleshoot Layer 2/3 issues (VLANs, routing, ACLs, MTU, path selection, packet analysis)
• Identify repetitive operational tasks and automate them using existing skills

Develop and maintain:

• Python scripts for automation, validation, and data collection
• Ansible playbooks for standardized network changes
• Ability to document solutions and clearly explain technical decisions
• Work with JSON/YAML, REST APIs, and webhooks to integrate automation into network workflows
• Create runbooks, documentation, and operational guardrails to ensure safe, repeatable changes
• Contribute automation to version‑controlled repositories (Git preferred)

What We’re Looking For:

• 6+ years of network engineering or advanced network support experience
• Strong L2/L3 troubleshooting background
• Hands‑on experience with Cisco SD‑WAN and Cisco Catalyst Center

Proven network automation experience, including:

• Python scripting
• Ansible playbooks
• Working with APIs and structured data (JSON/YAML)

Nice to Have:

• Git / version control experience
• Exposure to automation tools such as Netmiko, pyATS/Genie, or Jinja2
• Experience building operational runbooks or reusable automation frameworks
