Network Engineer – Cisco Core & Data Center Networks (m/w/d)

Role

In this role, you will design enterprise-level wireless network architectures and ensure their stability, security, and performance. You will be responsible for the planning, configuration, and optimization of complex Wireless LAN environments, including monitoring and troubleshooting. You will systematically analyze disruptions and performance problems, derive sustainable solutions, and implement best practices in network security. Additionally, you will support network projects from conception to implementation and work closely with internal stakeholders and external partners. Through your experience, you will take on a consulting role, define standards, and contribute significantly to the continuous development of the wireless infrastructure.

Qualifications

• You have completed vocational training in IT.
• You have sound knowledge in LAN, WLAN, and routing in the network environment.
• You have practical experience with solutions such as Cisco Identity Services Engine.
• Experience in WLAN planning and verification, ideally with Ekahau AI Pro, complements your profile.
• German fluent (written and spoken), and you also have specialized English language skills.

Responsibilities

• In your role, you will be responsible for the planning and implementation of Cisco-based Wireless LAN infrastructures, including Location Services.
• You will integrate and manage authentication platforms such as Cisco Identity Services Engine.
• You will also conduct site surveys, simulations, and measurements with Ekahau AI Pro.
• In daily operations, you will analyze WLAN environment disruptions and work closely with manufacturers.
• You will also be responsible for planning and further developing the product lifecycle for customers.
