The Opportunity

Procter & Gamble seeks a highly skilled Network Engineer for the Network Operations Center supporting their global enterprise network. Candidates should be motivated by advanced technologies, be catalysts for change, and align technology solutions to support business opportunities.

Qualified candidates should have basic network operational experience across telecommunication technologies including LAN, WAN, Security, wireless, remote access, load balancing, and cloud connectivity. Strong communication, self-motivation, adaptability, and dependability are essential.

Position Responsibilities

  • Incident, event, and service management focusing on service restoration, sustainability, and proactive improvement.
  • Provide 24x7x365 Network Operations support in a follow the sun NOC.
  • Provide Second Level Network Incident Management focusing on service restoration.
  • Mentor junior engineers for technical and professional growth.
  • Participate and sometimes lead Crisis Team calls, identifying resources beyond telecommunications.
  • Implement repeatable move, add, changes for LAN, WAN, Security, wireless, remote access, load balancing, and cloud connectivity.
  • Serve as escalation point for other NOC engineers for Incidents and Changes.
  • Build support documentation and provide training to NOC staff.
  • Use production monitoring tools to ensure system availability.
  • Ensure effective communication to internal customers.

  • Ability to present technical information to technical and non-technical personnel.
  • Maintains effective working relationships.
  • Available to work Sunday – Wednesday schedule including some holidays for 24x7x365 coverage.

Job Qualifications

Required

  • Prior experience with TCP/IP networks.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Carrier Services including WAN Circuits, MPLS, VPNs, VRFs, DWDM, Frame Relay, Point to Point, OCx, DS3, E/T1s.
  • Intermediate knowledge of networking suppliers and services including Cisco, Viptela, F5 Networks, Aruba, Juniper, Checkpoint, Palo Alto, Riverbed, Zscaler, Sonus, and Avaya.
  • Understanding of network load balancers and firewalls.
  • Experience with monitoring applications such as CA Spectrum, EMC Smarts.
  • Expertise with Cisco IOS/NXOS, Linux, Unix, Microsoft operating systems.
  • Familiarity with IT governance standards including ITIL, PCI, and SOC.
  • Ability to work Sunday – Wednesday, 8:30am - 6:30pm.
  • Hybrid work schedule, reporting to Cincinnati, OH office two days per week.

Preferred

  • Associate’s Degree in Information Systems, IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or 5+ years relevant experience.
  • Certifications: Network+, CCNA, CCNP.
  • Deep expertise in Wireless Networks.

Compensation

Pay Range: $85,000 - $122,200 per year. Compensation varies based on location, role, credentials, skills, and experience. Total rewards include salary, bonus (if applicable), and benefits.
