This role of Network Engineer II is based onsite in our Corporate office in Salisbury, MD, with some travel required (up to 10-20%) for training, meetings, and other company activities.

Role & Responsibilities

At Perdue Farms, Inc. we are looking for a Network engineer!

Your responsibilities are:

• Design, configure, and maintain LAN/WAN infrastructure, including routers, SD-WAN, switches, firewalls, and wireless systems
• Collaborate with diverse teams to support network-related projects and initiatives
• Implement and uphold network security measures including VPNs, firewalls, and access controls
• Conduct network capacity planning and suggest upgrades or enhancements as necessary
• Maintain thorough documentation of network configurations, processes, and changes
• Provide Tier II support for escalated network issues from both customers and junior engineers
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex network problems in real time to ensure smooth operations
• Work closely with senior engineers, IT operations, and security teams to enhance network performance and reliability

Requirements

Rquirements:

• Bachelors degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or equivalent experience
• Over 5 years of experience managing and deploying network devices (routers, switches, load balancers, access points)
• Proficient in advanced problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, including wire capture analysis
• Experience in network segmentation to mitigate risks to critical network processes
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with incident and problem management (preferred)
• Familiarity with SD-Wan solutions, preferably Silverpeak/Aruba Edge Connect (preferred)
• Network certifications such as CCNA or CCNP (preferred)
• Expertise in managing various types of network transport (MPLS, Ethernet, Broadband, T1, LTE, Satellite) (preferred)
• Knowledge of cloud-managed networks like Aruba Central or Cisco Meraki (preferred)
• Experience with cloud networking on major platforms (preferred)
• Background in operational technology networks, familiar with the Purdue model for ICS (preferred)

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary: $68,000 - 102,000 per year
